Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing
Our volunteers, members, employees and partners work together with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, businesses and the broader aquatic industry, to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
About the opportunity:
LSV is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and capable administration professionals to join our Casual Administration Officer Talent Pool.
This talent pool will be used to fill casual general administration roles across Life Saving Victoria as needs arise. Successful applicants may be contacted to support a variety of teams and business units across the organisation.
Recently engaged casual administration roles have supported areas such as:
- Public Training/Education
- Member Engagement
- Aquatic Industry Services
- Health Promotion
- Shared Services
Casual engagements may vary in length, hours and team, depending on organisational requirements. Availability will be discussed at the time of engagement.
Roles will generally be based at our Port Melbourne office, and applicants must be comfortable working from the office as required.
About the role(s):
Casual Administration Officers provide responsive, high‑quality administrative support to enable teams across LSV to deliver effective programs, services and outcomes.
Depending on the role and team, duties may include:
- Providing general administrative and operational support
- Managing inboxes, data entry and record keeping
- Supporting scheduling, coordination and reporting activities
- Assisting with membership, training or stakeholder administration
- Preparing correspondence, documents and meeting materials
About you
You are a reliable and adaptable administrator who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment. You pick things up quickly, work well in a team, and take pride in your organisation and attention to detail.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in general administration or office support roles
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A flexible, agile approach and willingness to support different teams as required
- Clear communication skills and a positive, professional manner
- A current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Experience or understanding of Life Saving Victoria or similar organisations is highly regarded, particularly in areas such as:
- Lifesaving or emergency management
- Membership or volunteer‑based organisations
- Training, education or community engagement
